K-POP VS. THE UNDEAD: PART 6 - THE DRAGON'S CUP
I. The Setup: The Perpetual Trophy
The Perpetual Trophy Cup is the most important sporting event in the supernatural world. Hosted every four years, it’s a high-school-level soccer tournament designed to settle ancient disputes between the two most powerful supernatural blocs: the Draconian League (Dragons, Krakens, Griffins) and the Sanguine Alliance (Vampires, Werewolves, Lycanthropes).
This year, the Cup is hosted by the neutral-ground Transylvanian Academy for the Peculiar and Gifted (TAPG), where Alistair is a major alumnus and donor.
The Problem: The Vampire Council, fearing a loss would trigger centuries of warfare, secretly demanded Alistair use AETHER to ensure a victory for the Sanguine Alliance team—composed mostly of his younger, equally snobbish cousins.
The Twist: AETHER isn't playing for the Vampires. They're performing at the opening ceremony, where the two teams—the Dragons of Veridian Flame and the Vampires of Crimson Shadow—are tied at zero. To break the deadlock, the final match is decreed to be a sudden-death, chaotic KARAOKE SOCCER MATCH. AETHER is forced to act as the official referees, coaches, and musical motivators.
II. The Antagonists: Science and Scale
A. The Arch-Villain: Dr. Xenon
The main antagonist is Dr. Xenon, TAPG's seemingly mild-mannered, highly respected Chemistry Teacher and the school's Head of Robotics. Dr. Xenon believes the only true path to peace is the elimination of all organic life—supernatural and human—and its replacement with perfectly efficient chrome copies.
 * Motive: Xenon worked for Raskoll3000 until he deemed Damien Rask "too sentimental" (a high bar). He plans to use the energy surge from the final match (amplified by AETHER’s performance) to activate a dormant Raskoll-era EMP device hidden beneath the field, permanently freezing every organic being into perfectly preserved statues.
 * Method: He has augmented the soccer field with high-tech traps, magnetic anomalies, and has secretly replaced the goalies with augmented, hyper-efficient PerfectPal Mark II androids disguised in sweaty athletic jerseys.
B. The Dragon Suitor: Lady Obsidian
Lady Obsidian of the Obsidian Cliffs is a twenty-nine-foot-long, iridescent black dragon. She holds a powerful, ancient, and highly inconvenient crush on Alistair.
 * The Crush: Obsidian first met Alistair in 1642 during a political summit and was charmed by his manners and his refusal to wear a silly doublet. She views his manager role as "his current quaint performance art phase."
 * The Conflict: She is the official captain of the Dragon team. She communicates her affections by using her immense size to gently nudge Alistair with her snout, which tends to send him flying across the stadium or through the penalty box. She genuinely believes if they win the Cup, Alistair will finally agree to rule the British Isles with her.
 * Alistair's Reaction: He finds her affection deeply inconvenient, physically hazardous, and emotionally flattering—a perfect blend of trouble.
III. The Battle Plan: Karaoke Soccer
A. AETHER's Roles and Mission
AETHER realizes the field is rigged and Dr. Xenon is the true threat. They have to win the game for the Dragons (to appease Obsidian and prevent global war), neutralize Xenon's EMP, and survive the chaos.
| Member | Mission / Karaoke Role | Soccer Chaos Method |
|---|---|---|
| Jisoo | Coach/Tactician (Wears an absurd, oversized whistle) | Uses choreographed team movements to avoid Xenon's landmines and magnetic traps. |
| Sori | Half-Time Remixer (DJs from the center field) | Uses her rap flow and rhythmic beat drops to disrupt Xenon's drone sensors and cause the PerfectPal goalies to short-circuit. |
| Luna | Tech Saboteur (Infiltrates the control box) | Must hack into Dr. Xenon's system to reverse the EMP, using her Glitch Witch techniques and maybe a little help from BERNARD. |
| Mia | Vocal Motivator (Sings the national anthem—of feeling) | Uses her Harmonic Anchor to inspire the terrified players and expose the hidden flaws in Xenon's robotic goalies. |
| Bella | Free Agent/Ref (Uses her moves to intercept the ball) | Her fluid, unpredictable zero-G choreography (practiced in the Aqua-Bunny) makes her the perfect, uncatchable striker in a rigged game. |
B. The Action Climax
The final minutes are pure, chaotic action:
 * The Field is Activated: Xenon activates the field traps. The vampires use their speed; the dragons use flight and fire (illegal, but effective).
 * Obsidian's Affection: Lady Obsidian attempts to score the winning goal, but is distracted by seeing Alistair arguing with the referee. She nudges him with her snout, sending him flying across the field, inadvertently creating an open pass for Bella.
 * The Ultimate Kick: Bella, mid-air from the dragon-nudge, uses a perfect, zero-G bicycle kick to send the ball toward the goal.
 * The Final Stand: The PerfectPal Mark II goalie moves with impossible speed to block the shot. Sori drops a trot music-infused bass drop that causes the robot to stutter. Mia hits a sustained, pure Harmonic Anchor note, forcing the robot's optical sensors to briefly register "EMOTION DETECTED: ERROR."
 * Victory: Bella's kick slams into the goal just as Luna reverses the EMP, causing Xenon to be encased in his own stabilizing chrome shell.
IV. Resolution and Aftermath
 * The Alliance: The game is won, the world is safe (again). Lady Obsidian, impressed by Bella's kick and Alistair's endurance (he survived the nudge), declares AETHER the only thing worthy of her devotion.
 * The New Managerial Problem: Alistair is now perpetually chased by a lovestruck, 29-foot dragon. He has to hire Kira the Kraken to run interference for him at future events.
 * Mr. Park's Fate: Mr. Park is revealed to have been hiding in the bubble tea dispenser, but he now has to file an insurance claim for "intentional, dragon-assisted aerial assault on a manager."
 * The Next Song: AETHER releases the single "Bicycle Kick Heartbreak," dedicated to the absurdity of sports, love, and ancient rivalries.
